i'll have to ask my dad what he sold the pop for.. it sure is a COPO.  when my dad bought it the stock exhaust lasted for about 3 months he sold the stock exhaust to the dealer that was installed on a 69 Z.. then headers with no smog pump a SUN tach.. non tach factory car also has a 120 speedo from day one my dad put a set of slapper bars & a hurst T handle still wondering if any of that is on it?  the stock wheels and dog dish hubs went on a 64 chevy impala & a set of mags went on the COPO.. Keep me posted

With only 13 total posts and 7 of them in this post from the OP & all from 2007, I think it will take some digging to find this guy. Kurt probably has the only contact.

But another cool story. I would like to see some of those vintage pics.

Also purchase price of the POP wasn't said, but is there a clone of the car out there somewhere?

No clone that I am aware of. The story as I have it, is that there was another similar Burnished Brown COPO in that geographical proximity and the guy who owned that other COPO, heard about this Original Owner and contacted him. They discussed the car and thought it was the same COPO. The original owner let him know that he had the POP and gave it to the guy with the other COPO. When he got it he realized it was a different COPO and hence the search for the car. The car left Ohio and has been in the Chicago land area since appox 1989.

Status update. I was able to find a son of the original owner. Do not yet know if he is the one who posted here. He has informed me that he with get me in touch with his father, who is the original owner of this COPO. I think it’s kool that on the 50th Anniversary of these cars that the original owner and car might be reunited. I have extended an invitation to meet at MCACN XI as the COPO will be in the Day 2 display.
