So there you go someone is going to start with this and build a whole car around it. Although, I wish all the clone cars had this kind of tag. (easy to spot)

I would assume fake, but the picture is to hazy to make any details out for me. It appears to have the same aging process as the other tag, but who knows with this type of seller.  :( :P

Hard to feel sorry for whoever bought it, as their intentions must be crystal clear......
Regardless, the creator of these trim tags is still cashing in, and an unsuspecting buyer will eventually get taken by a car built around a fake tag - hence the 'buyer beware' caution really relates to the finished article.
