Keep blowing CLK-LTR/CTSY fuse
« on: February 16, 2018, 12:29:42 AM »
I keep blowing the CLK-LTR/CTSY HAZ 20 amp fuse.  While trying to track down the problem and instead of burning through fuses, is there another way to test?

I thought it was the door jamb pin switch because the threads are stripped so I put a nut on the backside of the switch and cleaned the paint around the switch but it still blows the fuse.

my 67 had that problem. remove the orange wire from the lighter and see if the short goes away.

If it is constant pretty easy to find, if is intermittent might take a while. If it is shorted some testers beep when used. I connect it and while it is beeping go check the various devices and if the  beep varies I know I am close. For the hearing impaired a light works also.

I finally found the issue.  I had a single contact bulb in a two contact socket.  Installed the right bulb and my sail panel and courtesy lights are all lit up now!  Thanks and on to the next issue
