MCACN 2017
« on: November 25, 2017, 02:44:40 PM »
I know Jon Mello had his car at MCACN 2017, and he posted some pics in a different thread.

Anybody else want to share some pics or stories?

I may try to go next year.

There is MCACN coverage on the MSN webpage today. I'm pretty excited to see the first 8 pics out of 393 are of my car.

Thanks, guys.  Great fun being at the show and seeing the car get press coverage.  It was awesome to get 12 of these cars to show up on a November weekend in Chicago.  Great group of owners to do that.

I don't think you will ever see such a collection of 1967 Z/28's anywhere except at MCACN!  Along with lots of other neat cars; the Fabulous Formulas, a RA-V GTO Judge, original owner ZL1 Camaro, and many, many other unique and neat cars!

That was my first MCACN but it won't be my last!

Great show with outstanding cars. It was my 4th year in a row and plan to keep going along with the fantastic friendship that has developed among so many.
And Jon's car and that batch of 67 Z/28's was one of many highlights to take in. My favorites were the survivors that Steve and the team review, the 67 z/28's, and what a group of 67 L71 Corvettes along with some L88 mix. Wow! Something for everyone!
Congratulations Jon for great assistance to MCACN in getting that group of 67's together for one show......
Love to see them do similar next year for the 68's and the following year for the 69's. Gen I focus!

Up late, Can't sleep, nerve damage killing me. Roaming Camaro sites..
I talked with Bob Ashton at the end of the 2017 awards ceremony. I said I would like to head-up the 2018 '68 Z/28 display. Should be able to get a 25 car display in a flash. Maybe even every color offered. And just keep it going for '69 also. He said, {at the time} there will be NO 50th Anniversary '68 Camaro Z/28 display. And that he will have a '68 display of different cars that are turning 50, including Camaro, but NOT specific to Z/28. I was/am bummed big time. Sure, maybe there will be a couple '68 Z/28's, but was really looking forward to a full display.  :( Danny

A 68 display of all the colors would be awesome. I would actually like to see all the different models of 68 camaros, SS, Z/28, RS some convertibles. Just my 2 cents

The 50th anniversary for the 67 was a big deal.

Unfortunately the 68s have never gotten the attention like the 67s and 69s.

Danny I would still encourage you to try and see what happens. Having every color would be awesome.

The very low quantity (602) for '67 Z28's made that one a little bigger deal than the higher volume later ones... but it never hurts to try... :)
