Boy, that's a tough one. It's not a 0 because it's not high enough. It's not a 2 because the leg at the bottom isn't flat. It's not a 3 or a 5 because it's closed in on the left. I don't think it's a 6 either (compared to the other 6). It MIGHT be an 8??? If it is, it's either 124379N567287  or 124679N567287

It has to be an 8. Nothing else fits.

So what do you do with this case? Fix it? Is that doable?

Those ears can be repaired. With skill, you could barely tell.

If you need THAT case just find 2 ears, bolt it all to a bell housing and weld. We have done several. Some creative grinding and you can hardly tell.

Yup, the seller states he/she will give you a donor case in the listing description...

"I will give you another case with 2 good ears so you can repair this rare Norwood one."

It probably wouldn’t be cost effective to repair it, unless it’s for your car.  If someone can’t repair it on their own, it will probably cost $200 or more for a top notch repair. Of course much less if you can do it yourself.

IF you use a pneumatic needle scaler to dimple the surface you can get the look of cast aluminum easily.
