I had a Camaro car guy stop by the other day. So I was telling him my 69 was a factory SS. And he was telling me the only way to verify a 69 SS was to have the factory paperwork. I don't have any paper work, but I'm thinking from CRG info a late February factory stamp MC1 is proof of factory SS. So I reckon my real question for the experts is the partial VIN stamp for real?

He is wrong.

Partial VIN on the transmission seems real.

I don't remember if you have given us any details on the engine and axle.

Yes, it's original.
Yes, that MC1 would confirm SS-ness.  The BM rear axle also supports that (but is less definitive).
The L65 used a M15, not MC1. I've seen a few L65 with a 12-bolt.
