It's pretty screwed up...   and the new format they slipped in a couple of months ago sucks too...  :(

x3.5...you're aware that the old (classic) format is still an option, right ?
I used that when first changed over but it reversed back after after a short period of time. Thought it seemed harder to find things but like anything else we adapt.

I did that once, a year or so ago, but this time it changed, I can't find where to set the 'classic' option....   Can you point me in the right direction?

At the very bottom left corner of any forum page gives you the option. Much less advertising with classic and as a result, faster loading times on my set-up. Plus they didn't get the lone 68  properly positioned in the pic at the top of page on the new version. :(

It used to be option on the lower left corner before the update. Now I do not see it.
I followed Thor's advice:
"User CP, Edit Options, Miscellaneous Options, Forum Skin"

Works just the way i like it now. We will see how long it lasts....since change is the only thing that stays the same  :)

I very rarely use that site. Just doesn't work good with my phone and finally found the classifieds geez

Hey Bill depending on the operating system of your phone, the autoguide app for IOS and Android works very well and is very very simple in its design and presentation. I can load the regular website - new skin  - on safari and be able to actually browse it on my iPhone.  It adapts down to the correct screen size. The old format skin just was impossible to browse with my screen size.

Just as an FYI - By now all of you who are also members at Team Camaro should have received an email from the AutoGuide administrators with your password reset. There is also the notice posted on all the sites that all the membership data had been stolen back in Feb from all the hundreds of car enthusiast sites Autoguide manages including Team Camaro, Team Chevelle, Team Nova, Team Impala, Team GTO, and Team Chevy to name only a few.

The information stolen included your signup IP address, email and user name and password. While you may say big deal whats that going to get them? It could be the final piece of information someone needs to complete the file they already had on you. Humans are animals who while possessing a unique brain, we don't use it that often when we should and we tend to use the same lame password on all our sites, and now someone has it along with the ip address of your connection, which may be enough to track other sites you have gone to, and unlock your information especially if you use the same user id or similar along with the same lame password - a password that anyone could figure out based on other information you have already shared maybe on Facebook etc.

So while you may think the new password strength standard is ridiculous, it is the new industry standard for web data, and I have more restrictive rules in place at my job, where the passwords changes every 45 days and any used password can not be used ever again. So the TC password is a piece of cake.

If you were like a ton of folks and used the same password as Team Camaro on other websites, I STRONGLY recommend you take an evening and change all of them to unique passwords for that particular site. You can use the same base six characters, then make the next six unique to that site. You can also use an encrypted app to store all your passwords, just don't forget the password to the password keeper. ;)

If any one has not gotten their password reset email and are now locked out of our site, first check your spam folder, and if not there drop me a line with your username and current valid email account and we will make sure a reset makes it to the email.  A lot of people had old no longer active email accounts on file and the reset emails bounced or ended in spam folders.

Thanks
Brian

I wondered what the heck was going on...
I figured it was a sign that I didn't need to be on TC, Yenko, and CRG at once.
To be honest I had just given up and written off Team Camaro as not being worth the problem of dealing with the password issues.

Well sorry you feel that way James.

I was out of town and then when I couldn't log in I didn't know what had happened then when I tried to get info emailed to me the system said my email was not recognized. I had not received an email referencing anything about the update and so I just figured my account was screwed up.
