Redline tires
« on: December 27, 2006, 04:47:57 AM »
Does anyone have the original specs on the redlines shipped in 1968?

I'd like to know where the redline is on the sidewall, width of stripe, are thereFirestone script on the tire?  Seems to me that most of the repros on thge market have the redline too close to the wheel. My original photos show the redline almost near the midpoint of the sidewall/.

Thanks

Arno

Arno-
I don't have the specs, but I know what you are talking about.  I have attached an ad for the 1986 Camaro that confirms the redline placement.
68 L30/M20 Convertible, Ash Gold
N10, F41, N34, Z21, ZJ9, Z87, D55, G80, P01, U17

I think that Brent Roby or Brett Merriman would be good sources.  I know they have or had originals at one time or another.  Don't know if they visit this site or not.  I'll see if I have a phone number,

Many thanks for the info. I saw a similar ad which got me going on this question.
