Pretty sure these kinds of questions are going to go unanswered. When you factor in that a guy like Greg Long may be reading along, that would be enough for me to lock the topic. Please see the above link from Charley, or do your own search for Greg Long / court / angola , and have a good detailed read, about a guy who is poster child of fraud in the camaro hobby.

I don't like them. Block numbers are stamped too high. Don't like the vin either. Circular decking marks.
           ALL CAMAROS #s   3/16  ASSEMBLEY #S  WHERE UNDER THE CYL HEAD WATER PLUG  THE #S WHERE STAMPED AT GM BEFORE THE HEAD WENT ON ALL YOU PEOPLE NEED TO DO MORE HOME WORK SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PARTS   ARE ONLY ORIGANIAL ONE TIME   at THE FACTORY WHEN INSTALLLED  YEKNO .NETand all this site are very MISINFORMED at have a lot  of guessing going on  ...LOTS OF IN= CORRECT  INFORMATATION  ...AND NEVER ANY PHOTOS   OF GOOD EXAMPLES ... GM FOUNTS  ARE Correct  & IN THE CORRECT LOCATION FOR THIS CAMARO  LOOKS LIKE THE BLOCK Surface deck has been lightly  refaced  for flatness for a good GASKET SEAL

LOOK LIKE YOU ALL NEED TO GET THE BOOK  CHEVROLET BY THE NUMBERS ...  From ALLEN   the outer  problem {is this site }   you   cant post any REAL  photo files   to  the site has to small  of data photo base  427 KING.

NUMBERS ARE AT THE CORRECT LOCATION AS UNDER THE WATER PLUG LOOKs LIKE THE DECK SURFACE HAS BEEN LIGHTLY REFURACED ON A WET SURFACER  FOR FLATNEES   FOR A GOOD GASKET SEAL ..

Yes, it's well known that big blocks were stamped without the head on.
Too bad you can't recognize a restamped VIN.....
