There's a lot of BS in that ad. My money says it was born with a 307, There is no way tell from the VIN that the car was/is an SS.

I wonder if the front coil springs have been changed. 

Going from a small block to a big block and adding a/c would have impacted front ride height if the car originally was a 307 and later converted to a big block and the front coil springs weren't changes as well. 

If it were a big block originally, with the front coil springs to match, front ride height would be about the same now as it was originally.

Seller states it is a X11 car. No BB X11 were built other than a few COPOs (427). Engine appears to be sitting in the center of the engine bay, PDB setup is aftermarket, quite a bit about this car that screams it's not what the seller says it is.
