Rear Spring Restoration
« on: November 16, 2015, 05:32:15 PM »
Bought a kit to restore my rear leaf springs but I need the special bolt that holds the leafs together. What is this called ? Where is the best source for new ones ? And any specs for it ? Thanks

Try Eaton Springs. I just stumbled upon their website, looks like they are still making OEM style leaf springs.
A friend ordered a multi-leaf set and the hardware looked very close (could have been exact, I'm not that much of an expert).

Find a parts or hardware store that sell Dorman products. Ask for a spring center bolt (that's what I always called them). Years ago I worked in a parts store that carried several different kinds.
