Block and head dates
« on: May 16, 2015, 11:36:03 PM »
I looked at a X77 car today that was a mid February build, the motor stamp was V0218DZ and the heads were late December 68. Do these dates look good?

NCRS allows longer lapses than that without questions on their judging...  although I'd usually expect the block and heads to be closer to the same casting date...?  the dates you mentioned are 6-7 weeks apart...

I would not consider the heads being that much earlier than the block not normal, but possible.
