Happy B-lated Bday James.  The Masters and cars... Yup !   Can't go wrong there, I'm sure it was a blast.  It's insane to see how accurate those guys are and how long they can take that ball.

Here is a first hand example of how finitely pro golfers are able to control a club...

First time I went to the Masters was with my brother maybe 1993-1994, walking out of the clubhouse/proshop area toward the golf course you come out of an area completely shaded by tree foliage as the sun begins to beam down you are met with the most luscious green appearing like velvet stretched over perfectly sculpted rolling hills with pink and red and white blossoms bursting from every fold,  the Iconic scoreboard on your right and the first tee box up a hill to the left.
After being in awe of the pure beauty... I looked around at my brother and said are we supposed to walk on it?
The grass is nicer than the carpet in most homes...
I would compare the first cut to a Berber and the fairways to a mid-line hand knotted oriental... SERIOUSLY

We decide to sit on the 2nd tee box...
We hadn't been there too long when up walks Freddy Couples...
Couples is popular now, however in the early 90's he was in his prime and was a Michelson/Rory type of personality.
Couples walks up to the box, leans over pushes a tee into the ground, and throws a ball down.
Alternating between the face and the rear of his driver he taps the ball around on the box, making small talk with his caddy as they await the fairway of the Par 5 - 2nd to clear.
Back and forth tap tap tap tap...
As the fairway cleared he proceeded to roll the ball up to the back of the tee and then onto the TEE using only one hand on the driver...**
Based upon the actions which precipitated after he grounded the club, he had decided the ball was teed up a bit too high...

USING THE SOLE PLATE OF THE DRIVER COUPLES TAPPED THE BALL AND TEE INTO THE GROUND 1/8 inch or so...
dropping the club head behind the ball, and drawing it back methodically he then proceeded to rip it...
Nice long high draw...
I looked at my brother and his mouth was agape in bewilderment... wha wha he stammered, did you see that?

UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE!

**I tried for hours to roll a ball on a tee at the driving range and managed to do it once with a 9 iron by trapping the ball between the tee and the crook of the hossel and the club face, which is not at all how he did it.

:) ..   that's amazing James!   I've never seen that done (or even thought of trying it), but then I've never personally attended a professional tournament either..   too bad the tv shows don't video that stuff...  pretty neat!  (I've seen Tiger keep a ball in the air using only a club... bounce.. bounce.. bounce..  etc..  looking like the could do it as long as he liked.. that was pretty neat too!)
