« on: October 17, 2006, 11:34:06 AM »
The car is on EBAY near me #330038378373. The trim tag is attached with rivets. It is deffinately a real tag just wondering if ther is any info on the body # 291222. Thanks. Leo.

Nothing on that car.
Tag is supposed to be attached with rivets, just not that type. :)

Thankyou. I meant the wrong rivets. I asked for VIN and Build date but no reply yet.

Why do you say that?
Do you personally know the car?

Tags real.  Did it originally belong to that car, who knows without knowing the VIN and more of the features on the car.  Someone along the way one of the car's owners broke the cardinal rule of cowl tags, which is you NEVER remove it from the car for any reason.  Once it's off, the car will almost always be questioned.  Especially when it's put back on with Home Depot rivets.

I agree the rivets add a question mark to the car, but it does not mean it isn't "the real deal".

Did LA cars also feature this bulkhead marking? I took the seat out of a semi-original  VN Z recently, and nothing...

norwood built cars seem to have this marking, but maybe before the x codes came out this wasnt a common procedure and most VN cars didnt have x codes did they?

No, a lot of early cars had that marking.
Yes, wasn't used at LA.
