My fiance and I recently purchased a 67 RS/SS 350/4-speed blue top convertible thats aseembled in Norwood on 06C (June 3rd week) occording to the cowl tag.

The L48 350 and M20 4-speed is long gone as the car was raced in the late 70's with a 468 BBC.

I'm trying to find anyone with a 67 RS/SS or SS that has Norwood 06C (june 3rd assembly) on there cowl tag so I can get a good idea of what L48 350 engine block date code would be good in my car.

I'm guessing when I say March - early June forthe block date code and would rather base it on a original L48 350 motor from a Norwood 06C car.

Does anyone have a SS or RS/SS car that fits this timeframe that still has the 350?   If so can you please share your motor date code...

Thanks!

Rick Hexemer

I am not sure how late they were made but there were some "pace car looking" cars made after the race for some midwestern dealers... someone will correct any info that I have wrong here... PLEASE correct me...

Yes,

A handful of Norwood 06C (june 3rd week) cars with options similar to mine were shipped to Canada after GM (Canada)  requested cars that were similar to the Indy Pace Cars made in the 04A timeframe for the race and important officials and dealerships.

That week I beleive there were 10 or so 327 (210 HP) cars and 11 or so 396 cars delivered to Canada.

My car stayed in the states and we are unsure at this point as to the specifics on it besides it being a RS/SS convertible, Irmine white, custom blue interior, 350, 4-speed/console, and blue top.
(The speedo cable passthrough towards the center tunel for the M20 Muncie identifies it as a L48 (350) rather the a M20 Saginaw used in L30/M20 (327/275HP)

I've been told that my 06C 350 4/speed cowl tag and VIN Tag show it being made between the 9th and 10th big block cars that went to Canada.

So far I only have valid date codes for 350 blocks that were either Norwood 04A pacecars or festival cars as my friend has a car and from information from the guys at www.camaropacecars.com

I'm hoping that someone with a Norwood 06C L48 car on this site will come forth with their engine casting date.

Thanks!
