My lid is not with me but I think it had wording around each bubble. I found this one. Seen some vendors have pictured one as correct for a 69z. Read a thread where both may have been used. Any opinions?

I, too, have read about more than one cover for 69. I cannot prove that my cap is, in fact, "born with", but I have every reason to believe it is, as the orig. master cylinder is on the car (off now) 12B Nor. Bill, here goes:
Will also comment on the cap you picture Bill, I understand that there was no DOT specification in 69, so that cap would be wrong,IMO.

Maybe we could get some of guys to chime in that have known original caps. I have been looking for one myself I would like to make sure it's right. Also was there only one cap used through out the production year? (69)

Here is my original cap, it was replated when I had my booster rebuilt by Grigori...
I can take a 'straight on' photo to capture all the textual information if need be...

My original cap looks exactly like Gary's, word for word and number for number. Just has not been re-plated so not as pretty :)

From what I remember mine looks like Bentleys and Gary's. Its at gregoris and had more pits than I liked. Garys looks really nice

FYI those pits and scratches can be worked out with time and patience.

Before

After - Notice that this is the style like the one you posted Bill.

Also Gary's is different than ko-lek-tor's.  Garys has SAE J1703 Brake Fluid

Ko-lek-tor's looks like a 67 cap.

My early 1969 11D (68) SS/RS was born with the same cap that  ko-lek-tor has posted.  I believe the caps were an early vs. late thing.  Can't swear to a changeover date, but, I know mine is original.
