 This is one heck of a resto and looks too good to drive. But what a waste if nobody drove it and the car was restricted to just being a garage queen.

The quality of the work is outstanding. The accuracy of the restoration is lacking; they should have consulted with someone that knew ‘69s better than they did. There are a number of errors; some stuff can easily be corrected, some can’t.

I would love to have a good L78 car. not necessarily a convert. I did notice several repop parts that for a car with that price I would not have done that to it.  Any opinion on block stamps? I think the pad looks like it has been tampered with to the right of the date code. Also, were big block cars stamped harder in the vin area than small blocks? I have not seen a small block car stamped that deep. Carb doesn't have a date code either.   Pretty car and they did a lot of work with nice pictures

I was thinking the same thing, William, as I saw it last night. I see were they lowered the price already $99,500, was $125,000. The car is very nice and I like the color, of course, one of my favorite colors. It just seems for this caliber of restoration, some small things were overlooked. Like you said, the owner should have had someone go over the car and fix what could be, detail wise, before pics were taken. IMO.

Too nice to drive. I have heard that L78 verts had to be special ordered. I doubt this is one of those.

PL4 F70 X 14 FG belted white lettered tires were added to the Camaro RPO list early April 1969. There's no question those tires were commercially available before that time but they were not a Camaro option until April. This car was final-assembled on or about June 20, 1969 and could have been ordered with them. Not only is PL4 a rare option, several manufacturers offered them. A documented COPO with PL4 has Firestone tires.

Was there a similar late year Polyglas addition in the 15" size (for Z28's)..?

No optional 15" tires at all. Most Z/28s/COPO 9737 received E70 x 15 Goodyear WTGTs, some were built with Firestone Sport Car 200.
