Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Nov 23 & 24
« on: November 20, 2013, 08:23:42 PM »
Chevrolet will be at MCACN with a new ZL1 Camaro,  1LE Camaro,  Z28 Camaro and a C7 Corvette. Quite a lineup, for us Chevrolet enthusiast. The performance and handling of the new Z28 and the looks of the new Corvette are just amazing. Plus close to 600 stunning examples of classic American muscle from all manufacturers and a host of other activities and guest appearances. Website www.mcacn.com

Looking forward to seeing the new Z-28. I would like to order one in LeMans blue. This is the best Muscle car show I have been to or read about.
Who is going to MCACN and will you be wearing your CRG shirt?

I still never heard what the price of the new Z/28 is...anyone got any hard info other than "more than the ZL-1"?

I went in 2011 I think,,,,the ZL1 show case show, and the event was so special.
I got a signed picture from the Grump and a handshake, before his passing (RIP),,,,,

This show was HUGE, I am bummed I have not made it a priority to attend regularly.

The heavy hitters of the Hobby and History makers & Iron are there.

I will enjoy the posted photos and dream of a rip in the future,,,,,,

Well the show is over and what an event. I want to thank everyone involved for their tireless effort which makes this show successful. Although this is our fifth year it seems like the first because of all the new and exciting themes and showcases, year after year. The buzz around the whole event is intoxicating and creates energy that is contagious. This is no easy task or you would see many events like it, and its the only one that continually raises the bar. The quality of the cars is amazing and the car owners, restorers and sponsors make the event come a live.

Regarding Vintage, we were provided the perfect location to spotlight these time capsules. The participants in our program are terrific caretakers of these unrestored benchmark cars. The owners were very satisfied and appreciative of our teams thoroughness and energy, as each car was examined for 3-4 hours.

The Z28 has returned to its 67 roots as a race bred car. The efforts they went through to save weight is amazing, a back seat that weighs 3-4 lbs, thinner glass, less noise insulation & carbon fiber brakes to name a few. The new Corvette is a thing of beauty and I'd like one in my garage. Scott Settlemire and the GM team should be proud and a big thanks to them for participating in the event.

Your 1600 mile Z is a thing of beauty. Glad we had a chance to speak at the show, although you seemed to have Reggie Jackson's ear for quite a while. He seemed to really appreciate the show and spent a lot of time looking and chatting with participants. I already have quite a few cars signed up for Vintage Legend Certification next year. Looks like we'll be certifying cars at GM Carlisle in June as well. The only hitch is my daughter is getting married a week later so I need to check with the boss :).

BTW I was impressed with the truck load of cars the AZ boys sent to the show, and the send off party looked great.

Thanks for the kind words....

First off thanks for the video..

The 3 that caught my eye were:

68 LeMans Blue L/88 at the 00:35 sec mark

68 Bronze (?) at the 00:48 sec mark

68 Grotto Blue (?) Z at the 1:58 sec mark

What can I say...  Im a sucker for a 68..

Definitely makes me want to attend next year.

Thanks for the nice video Dan.  I have only made it a couple of times since it turned into MCACN, I used to go to Chevy/Vette Fest regularly as a Vendor.
