The ride height is not stock. I don't like the height personally. I guess I should have said that. It is incorrect for stock. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, just not my thing. As far as the other... I was talking about ALL the auctions, not just this one. Sure the cowl in this auction happens to be clear, but what about the POP at a bastard angle all blurry, and the front pad stamp all blurry. What's the problem? Why can't people learn to take a clear picture. Like I have said in the past, SOOO frustrating for me.... Danny

Obviously the car is 44 years old, so the springs may have fatigued a bit, but I really like the ride height. In fact my 3 survivor Z's all sit like that car. Regarding the pics, if I was interested in the car I certainly would contact the seller and ask specific questions and request additional pics. The pad stamp looks good and the car is well represented.

69Z28-RS.. I don't remember saying I didn't like stock survivor CARS.. Where do you see that  ??? ??? ???  I in fact love stock survivor cars. I have them all around me. They are not mine, but some friends have them. My buddy has an ALL original Stutz Bearcat. I love original and hate non stock hotrods, and rat rods. Ya completely changed it all to another subject. Ride height is ALL I mentioned. Never said I disliked stock original cars....Danny

Danny,

I inferred that from your statements that the 'stock' Z28 sat too low.   Original Z28s SAT LOWER.. check the specks!   I believe you've looked at too many restored cars with replacement springs (that do not match the factory specs).. that's understandable if that's all you've ever seen.   I suspect most younger enthusiasts that have seen lots more restored Camaros at shows than they have original cars would likely think that.

I like it!    Wish it were in my garage!  Old unrestored cars have always been extremely interesting.    Jim

That is a dream find, I rember reading about it on another site, a diamond in the rough. The stance looks right on to me. Since you have so much original paint , are you going to try to ruth it into a driver?

Welll, from my perspective, the underside needs to be 'restored/preserved'..  since so many body panels have damage, and some need replacement (under rear window) you'[re going to do a total repaint.   I'm sure the mechanicals need to be rebuilt, so that leaves only a question of the upholstery, which I didn't see enough of..  It's *mostly a 'restoration'*, and  if you go ahead and restore/preserve as each part requires, you'll probably be happier in the long run if it's all restored!

I see the rear window area as a repair. BUT before I did a total restore I think I would just do the metal repair on the rear window, have "Magic Mike" pull the rest of the dents and get it as straight and then get it operational and put some miles on it.
While I enjoy my Camaro as is, and I was fortunate to get it in decent condition, my other cars were mostly projects when I got them. I drove my 66 Chevelle as a driver for years before completing a frame off resto on it. I think I enjoyed the hell out of it when it was driver, I still think it is sweet now that it is 99% done, but anyone can drive a finished turn key car. It takes more gear head passion to run a driver....IMHO

I don't think 50K would be a bad deal for that car.
