Anyone recommend someone to rebuild a power steering box?
« on: September 02, 2006, 02:34:35 AM »
I am looking for someone to rebuild my power steering box.  I contacted Jerry MacNeish, but he only rebuilds manual boxes.  I have considered doing this myself, but there seems to be more moving parts in this thing then my entire motor.  It works fine, but leaks like a sieve.  If anyone knows of someone, please let me know.

I believe Global West in CA does them. Check mags for an ad.

You are wise to not attempt it. Power boxes are not simple.

www.powersteering.com

These guys did a power steering box (rebuild and appearance restoration) for me a couple years ago and I was pleased with their work.

Well, I went to powersteering.com and spoke with Chip.  He seemed knowledgeable, so I sent my box off.  I will report the outcome when I have it.  Thanks guys.
