Can someone tell me if this the norm or could it have been in any configuration.

1968 SS L78 (Original mileage 9977 & original paint)

D90 stripes configured in the following fashion.

Nose and to the front of the wheel wells is painted.

Drivers side, rear of wheel well to door is a decal and door is painted.

Passenger side, rear of wheel well and door are decals.

Im pretty sure that it was just the door that got the decal but let me double check this afternoon on another original paint 68 L78 car.  In the mean time post more pics of that car!!!  Also add some data to this thread please if you can.  BTW awesome looking car from the pic you posted..  Love the LeMans Blue.

Why do you call that a L78 stripe? My HS buddy's blue 327 '68 had the exact stripe  like yours when he bought it new.

It came standard on late 68 SS's the early SS's had the 67 style Bumble bee. Lemans Blue was a spring color and thus would have received the longer stripe. It was also available as a separate option-D90.
I second the more pics as I have a fondness for LB 68's having had a LB 68 RS/SS 396 in the 80's.

Thanks, where did you get the info to confirm this and should the drivers side be the same? I will look at it again.

My original 68.  Yes, driver should be same as passenger.
