I just bought a complete numbers matching 68 z28 drivetrain, uh radiator to 12 bolt rearend 4 leaf springs, including altanator and power steering.
The car it came out of was totaled over 35 years ago,
My question is what to do with this stuff .......
Sell to someone with a great need?
Make a clone z28,
Find a documented z without its original drivetrain?
Or what ... I would really appreciate help finding the best use of these rare parts
Thanks in advance

Roger, can you send me pictures of the numbers (engine pad, trans suffix and VIN, axle numbers, etc...)? My email address is in my profile.

Thanks
Ed

If it were me, I'd find a good Plain Jane body, paint it to my liking, and stuff the drivetrain into it and have myself a sleeper.

The Camaro this drivetrain came from is long gone, only value would be for date correct build if one were going to build a clone,
and then the devalue of a cloned Z/28. Might be more honest presenting it as a PJ with Z/28 internals and enjoy the cruise with the car.

There's also enough Z's out there that are missing drivetrains that someone would step up and buy the whole thing.

You could sell the whole thing as mentioned or place in a car but its still just a small 302 small block (no killer). Big block small blocks are a different story. What I would at least review is piece it out to people that do have real cars and need certain things. Some of that stuff piece meal will bring huge money compared to selling as a unit. Example, the radiator & tag. You might be astonished to what piecing that out and selling on ebay will bring. Then use that money to buy something killer :)

Not sure but the tag alone would bring several hundred as the repro's are not correct. When you see a NOS RC15 rad cap go for over $500, well you get the idea. The more you break it down the more you could make. Not sure of what it might bring as you stated not many to see what they are bringing. Other words, sell the radiator and tag individually.
