Probably not. Reproductions don't have dates. Post a picture of the numbers on the air horn.

Probably a reproduction, as Ed said. The reproductions have a number of differences from the original assembly-line versions, such as a thicker baseplate, and straight choke pull-off tube.

Holley makes occasional short runs of their replacement muscle car carburetors without dates on the choke air horn so the resellers can date them to their customers' requirements, but they're different as noted above.

I read in CRG that replacement Holleys had a 4 digit date. This one has 3496. Would that be a julian code for 349th day of 76? The guy said he worked at a GM dealer in the 70,s and bought it through the parts department. It also has the straight pull off and the later base. It has what appears to be the correct part # 3923289.s

Yes, 3496 would be the 349th day of 1979, 1989, 1999, or 2009. No way to pin it down to which decade though.

I think you meant 1976, 86, 96, or 06.  :-)

Yes, I did. Not sure what I was thinking.

Thanks John!

Thanks guys. This appears to be what we have. It is going to be restored and put on my brothers 69 Z with and incorrect unit or on his COPO clone he is planning.
