Aftermarket core support

Hi Guys.
Anyone used an aftermarket core support that fit right? I am working on a 68 and have a replacement but it is like 2 pounds lighter than a stock one and you can grab the top and flex it with your hand. The stock one I ran across is pretty swelled up around the bushing holes to want to fix it

A few years ago, I looked at several mfg, and the AMD was by far the most correct core support, but even that one wasn't a perfect reproduction...

Use the repro brackets (bushing holes) to fix the original one!

The original I have is swelled up pretty bad where the different layers come together. Too bad they didnt make a drain in them where this happens.
Not much on the car will be stock but wanted the front to fit right.

If your only issues with the original core support is rotted mounts (especially the one under the battery), then I agree with Kevin.. just replace the mounts. I was able to find a good original one to replace the one under my battery (which was my only problem)...
