General Discussion / Re: Purchase from Canada

I would contact TFX. I have used them for close to 20 years. They will tell you what you need to do and are licensed to go from Canada to the US and the other way around as well. http://www.tfxinternational.com/

How about big block? Here is my lower alternator bracket....bushing missing. Does the BB use the same bushing as the SB? Who sells them? I heard AMK does but can't find them on their site. Thanks

Originality / DW Tire Pressure Decal

Hi All - not sure if there are correct repops out there of the DW tire pressure decal....I know there is one with the incorrect part number on it. ECS has the decal showing the correct part number. I just ordered one.  http://www.ecsautomotive.com/productdesc.php?co=g&id=12

You have never seen them in silver zinc? The ones that come from AMK are phosphate. Thanks

Hi all. On my car... the bolts and hold down nuts are silver. Like the one in the pic. In the repro kit they look phos plated. Are both finishes acceptable? What is mostly found on original cars?  Thanks

The local rad was wrong so the hunt is back on. They (HBC) do have an original - date is kinda early.....cheap...only 4000.00. :)  Called them. Their re-pops do not have OO on the drivers side....and can take up to 6 months to get.

Anyone have one? :^)

Another great pic - thanks!  Are those MB plugs closed on one end?

Thanks for the cap info Rich - much appreciated. I assume the caps are used on all of the bolts....both on inner fender and bottle bracket? I'm going to see if I can source those caps. Would you say those screws were silver cad plated?

Hi All. Trying to figure out the correct fasteners and plating for the washer bottle bracket. The ones on there are phos finish (don't have the head marking info at the moment).....the ones that come in the kit are silver and have caps that go over the exposed threads...which are shown in the manual. Again - can't tell you (at the moment) the markings on those either. Thanks!

Thanks - I think I found an original rad here in town.....but if it doesn't pan out I will call HBC and find out the date code they offer....as well as clarifying the tank numbers.... as one of them shown is incorrect....hopefully a typo.

Yes - That is exactly why I joined this site.  :)  I wonder if their description on the side tanks only is a typo as well? I will call them....Thank you, as always for the reply. How are the reproduction complete radiators? I know an original one that needs to be done would be 2-3 times more.

Hi All. Have a question. According this site  http://www.camaros.org/coolingsystems.shtml#usage  the tanks on the Curved neck radiator should have "IO" on the Left side and "OO" on the right. The repro tanks I have seen offered are "IL" (left) and "OO" (right). Which is correct?
Thanks

From what I have seen - Original plating was clear zinc.  Sometimes called silver zinc.
