Thanks Kurt, I definitely agree that some of that was way off base................. This site has so much good info from true car guys that there is no reason to muddy it up with that kind of crap.

I picked up what is supposed to be an original set of 68 wheels and tires a while back. I don't need them for my current projects so if you can tell me exactly what stamp and where it is located , I'll check them out tonight or tomorrow and let you know. They have tires on them so I'm hoping you're looking for stamps on the outside .

Happy Birthday Bentley,   You took the time to talk to me when I joined this group and I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciated that. I have learned so much just reading the posts on here. Without a doubt there are more first gen experts on here than Chevrolet ever had on there staff. Best wishes on your Birthday and hope everyone has a Happy and prosperous new year!

I'm building a 67 SS now that I bought with no drivetrain. I would be interested in the whole outfit if priced right. Not having any luck on finding my original. It is a December build.

I think that the 67 Z28 and the SS350 are the only models that those wheels were available on as an option with 70 series sport ovals......................

Ok I'm an old guy newbie and don't mind the old part. I recently joined this group after buying a 67 "barn find". This car was in the barn since 77 and still has all original parts. Unfortunately 37 years in a barn was not good for it. The barn finally collapsed and when they were pulling all the wood out to burn they dragged the car back into the light of day. The coons, rats and spiders were evicted and they took a picture and put it on craigslist , where I found it. I bought it sight unseen, drove down immediately and paid for it. After seeing it in person , I was scared a little, but what the heck, I got to start somewhere. I got it home the next day and started my photo documentation of everything. After 3 evenings, I got enough crap out of it that I could put it into the garage. I have started disassembling and found a lot more rust than I anticipated, but I still think that in the long run it will be a good #'s matching restoration. While looking for body parts, I thought I came across a donor car, went and looked at it found that it was a 67 ss350. Needless to say I bought it. Now I have  2 BIG project cars. I am trying to backtrack the history of both cars to document the first mostly, but the bigger issue is the engine transmission for the SS350. Any direction in the right path to doing this from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Both cars are central Ohio cars from the Norwood plant.

1967 Camaro Sport Coupe.      327/275 hp  power glide  factory 12 bolt posi  with radius rod  2 hole bracket (no rod)
# 124377N245837.

1967 Camaro SS350.      No engine /transmission  AC car. Right side speedo for Muncie. 12 bolt posi  wadi us rod   1 hole bracket (no rod)
#  124377N160087.

Thanks for any and all help.
