Original Cars and Details / Re: New Section

Victor, we have the description of the section as "original or mostly original". We don't have a strict guideline at this point. In my mind the car should as a minimum have the complete original engine, trans, rear axle. Original or mostly original paint and interior. If the car has had some very minor paint repair or a seat fixed, it may still be considered.

But those are kinda what we are looking for in this section. Unrestored...

We will see how this evolves.

This should be one of the first additions..

No Gary I am not saying that..  Im saying if a stock build is what you are after then these are a great pick up..  I would buy them but I already have a couple sets and dont need them.

Hmmmm..  Can you post some pics?  That will help the most.  Trim tag, vin, engine pad, trans stampings, diff stampings etc.  Or email them to me and I will post them.

Honestly it really depends on what you are wanting to do with the engine.  For a stock rebuild or mild street/strip; I havent seen much difference in the rods..  But Bryon is right..  Bolts are the most important piece.  Finishing up a 475ci bbc for a guy and used dimple rods, ls6 block & crank with SRP pistons.  ARP replacement studs and nuts on the rods..  I would have went with aftermarket rods but its gonna be a street engine so really wasn't a reason for it in this situation.

Thanks guys..  He had a small trailer he used to pull on occasion either to get a load of gravel or lumber or whatever..  The car use used like any normal car back in the day..  He just left the hitch on it up until the 90's.  I still have the hitch and the trailer in behind the garage and hasn't moved in 30 years..  I agree people need to submit!!  Lets keep this going!!
