Restoration / Re: 1967 & 1968 Factory Air Conditioning Control
« on: June 28, 2011, 07:37:35 PM »
The controls did change in 67, but not what you can see without taking it apart.  I know the early 67 A/C had a switch off of the top slide bar to turn on the compressor.  Later they got rid of the switch and did it another way.  I don't koow anything about the 68 controls.
You can send me the pictures also.

Restoration / Re: 1967 A/C Bezels
« on: March 15, 2011, 03:34:37 PM »
The vent bezels are dash color in 67 and chrome in 68.  Not sure if they were painted or not.  My car has a black dash and the bezels are non-painted black.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but my car has AIR on it.  I should be able to help you.  Maybe if you can post a picture with and arrow to what you want?

6-cylinder Camaros / Re: Front Swaybar
« on: November 11, 2010, 08:40:00 PM »
Yes, I have noticed this before.  I assume that your car is an L22 by your user name?

You need to back up one step.  According to the info you posted, the car may not be a SS.  You need to check where the speedometer cable comes through the firewall.  The L30/M20 cars were coded with the 4P also. (http://www.camaros.org/l30m20.shtml)

« on: August 06, 2007, 11:51:09 AM »
Well, that's certainly disheartening news.  So when anyone like Team Chevelle, Team Camaro, CRG, Colvin's various 'by the numbers' books or any other decoding sites states that "A" is the first week, "B" is the second, etc. they're just parroting something that is essentially worthless information? :o ???

Worthless?  All Kurt is saying is that you can't put specific dates to the letters.  It does tell you that a car built 11C was after a car built 11B.  You just don't know what dates.

The powerglide was the only auto trans that could be in an SS350 or with any other engine except for the L35 for '67.  If you had the L35 engine it would be a TH400 trans.  No other auto trans was avalible in '67.  No auto trans for the Z or the L78.

Have you read: http://www.camaros.org/radiusrod.shtml
I suspect you are noticing the powerglide cars?
