Originality / Re: 1968 Interior RPO options

This is really easy. 716 is Ivory Houndstooth, a deluxe interior. Dlx interior = Z87.

In 68, Z87 included all the Z23 features.

Confirm the #'s and let us know.

You don't know if the VIN is for a L6 or V8.

Might be able to get a title thru one of those companies.
Then you might be able to get new tag (not easy to do).

Or just get a state assigned VIN.

Me, I would have passed on it.....

Can't be a LT1, it's a year too early.
It's a LM1, just a letter off.... 350/255hp with manual trans.

Can you email me a larger version of that enginepad picture? KurtS2@peoplepc.com

Do you know for sure it's a 4 bolt main block?

Did the RS it came out of have a 12 bolt axle?

Thanks!

I saw some of your posts questioning the brevity of my replies. It's simple, that's what I have for notes on the car.
Thought I was being helpful....

Without the VIN and tag info, I'm not believing that it's not a regular Camaro. Titling it a different year is actually pretty easy...
The story goes against how GM handled prototype cars.

I take it you have a deluxe interior car?

Are you sure on the VIN?
If the VIN is right, then believe the gold cause the tag is not original to the car.... :(

And missing the VIN tag is a big problem..... Did you get a title?

Any ratio was available, 3.73 was the lowest gear you could get without a posi. 4.10 + all had posi's.

Can you post or email the trim tag data and engine code?

As I look through the data, I do see some other real early NOR cars with the VIN by the oil filter.

Car is real, well what's left of the car.
Engine, axle, and cowl are original. Trans and rear clip were replaced.
Car was in NE, PA, and OK.

In 69 Camaros, all with PS has the variable ratio box. There was no non-variable box available.

I'll have to dig on the other stuff.
