Date is 9G11, correct?

1112003 was never released for production and the production total is zero.
That said, I believe that very late Z's recieved them.

Naturally can provide full vin but have read that it is not wise to do so.
Why? Exactly what is someone going to do with it? Doesn't seem to be a problem with all the ZL1 and Yenkos.

Anyway, email me the VIN and body # and I'll see if I can help you.

About zero. Every 327 I've seen has monoleafs.
What is in the first box on line 4 of your car's BBC? I can't read it, but if you can, that should confirm it.

Originality / Re: Has anyone found one of these tags?

No, that's a new one to me.
Anything on the back side of the tag?

Could you email the VIN of this car (we use the VIN in file name, so we have traceability)? Thanks!

But 8 months before the car is very unlikely.....

You're not looking for a tag, but a date letter stamped between the tank code.

But from what you've posted, I suspect the radiator is a replacement. And it should have fittings for an auto trans.

That pad is restamped.

General Discussion / Re: 69 z/28 what to with it?

A BB x-member for manual trans has a different offet for the trans mount and a different shaped hole (square with a corner knocked off).

We've only seen one car (red) with it, supposedly original but the car had several details wrong on it. No docs on the car.

That's U16 in 69, tach only and center mounted fuel gauge.

Stripes could be deleted or ordered in a different color. Either would make it a special paint car.

I'd be curious to see a pic of your trim tag.

I had it noted that your car had a 3.73 gear. I don't think that trans and rear are close enough to be original. I take it the trans code is P8R30, not B8R30.

Can you send me a pic of the tag?

It's a plating. No idea of the name of it. I worked for Rochester Products (carbs, etc) - they had numerous different platings that they used, for different reasons, all slightly different in color.

Very hard to find. I've seen one in a car (and have a pic) and a car that someone removed it (is your car now red?)  That's it in many years of watching....

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69 Camaro date codes-How close??
« on: August 09, 2006, 05:11:05 AM »
It came with a ZC rad, per both my article and the broadcast sheet. :)
What was the date of the distributor that broke when you pulled it?

The carb tag is K8, Nov 68. There may be a Julian date also stamped on the carb body.

What is the alternator part # and date (as stamped)?
