Foreign Camaros / Re: Camaros from foreign (non-US) assembly plants
« on: October 03, 2010, 09:35:49 AM »
Here's a research article on the foreign assembly plants: http://www.camaros.org/foreign.shtml
We're always looking for more data on any car from these plants or more information about the plants to help make a better article. :)

Thanks!
Hi Kurt
good article, thanks for choosing my 67 Yutivo as picture.
I have not got around to correct the errors that you pointed out on my web, but will when I have time.

Foreign Camaros / 69 Yutivo....rough
« on: October 03, 2010, 09:24:53 AM »
A friend of mine recently found this 69 Yutivo.
It is in a rough state, but looks to be very original and unmolested - if you can call a rustbucket that.

Paint 904, its blue, maybe lemans blue, dont know for sure.
Trim 715, Dark blue standard bucket seats, which is odd because it clearly has deluxe seats as all Yutivos, misstamp perhaps?
This is the first 715 interior Yutivo I have come accross.

Its a 19K, so thats another batch - if I remember right. Kurt will know.
Org. engine with Yutivo stamp, sorry didn't get the best photo.

6-cylinder Camaros / Re: 250 Fender Emblems
« on: October 02, 2010, 11:06:28 AM »
I came across a set of NOS 250 Fender Emblems still in the original box if anyone is interested in them.  Not looking to make any money. Just recoupe my investment and postage.  You can email me if you're looking for some.

Do you still have the emblems, looking for a set for my 250 Yutivo

Thanks Paul.  There was some great information there.

Does anyone have pictures of any of the VIN plates or Cowl tags from the Camaros built in other countries?  ...besides the Yutivo tag posted on that page?

Thanks,
Tony Huntimer

I have pictures of quite a few Yutivo tags, can be viewed here:

Recently this 1968 add was send to me from my US contact that has been researching the Yutivo corporation.

Seems like polyurethane ceiling insulation was standard in the 68 Yutivos, what RPO would that be  ;D
They also advertise the powerglide transmission now.
Sure looks like a vinyl roof car in the add.

Originality / Re: camaro 68 RS from antwerpen belgium.
« on: September 19, 2008, 05:26:45 AM »
you can find at the link a 68 coupe camaro made in belgium.
http://www.chevrolet-camaro.net/forum/forum_mc1.php?msg=279260&return=1#top.

the motor seam to be a 350 with the originals chrome valve covers and the exhauts manifolds looks like corvette ones.
there is at yutivo a RS with a 350 350HP ( look at the CRG topic)

what do you sink about this car?????

thanks

Interesting Camaro, looks like it has some nice options. Do you have a better picture of the trimtag?

The front end (lower valance) looks like a RS model, RS tail lights as well. Obviously all RS stuff on the grill is gone and a 'barbeque' grill is installed instead.

Is it your car?

Found another cool 'thing', this 55 Bel Air was too good a deal to pass on.

Any good forums/websites for tri-five Chevys?

Originality / 6 cyl exhaust routing
« on: August 26, 2008, 05:43:48 AM »
hi All

I am going to install new exhaust on my 67 cylinder L90 250cui. Does anyone have any good pictures of an original 6cyl exhaust setup?

This is the only pic I have of my old exhaust, doubt its original.

Claus, German cars had  black dashboards and steering wheels. I wonder if these were colored for the European market? I aslo see an air conditioner condensor, but no air unit?
The cars were made for the local market in the Philippines only.
The car had an aircondition installed at one point in its life, hence the condenser unit in front of the cooler.

I have never seen a K before, didn't know it was from McKinnon in Canada.

It looks like a BE in the engine code, but pretty hard to see. Will send you the pictures.
I can get the rear end and transmission code later on.

Small update.
Got the engine number of the car, it reads:
K12 10 BF (or BE) 19Y184019A

That would be December 10, 1968 right?
'What does the K indicate?

Kurt if you are interested I can email you pictures of the engine stamp and firewall trimtag.
