Trans-Am Camaros / Does anyone recognisie this car?
« on: January 30, 2023, 03:24:52 AM »
It was owned and driven in several Trans-Am races by John Elliott, a car salesman at Preston Hood Chevrolet in Fort Walton Beach, FL. It was co-driven by Don Gwynne in the 1970 and 1971 Daytona 24 Hour and the 1970 and 1971 Sebring 12 Hour.

Does anyone know what the story is on this 69 Camaro at the 8:57 mark in this crazy car collection? Don't miss the Smothers Brother's McLaren at 22.10 either.

Pretty cool video. Love the street driving portion. I did not quite get what they were talking about with the hood. Were they implying the air went in between the hood and the header panel?

Where were the SCCA tech inspection stickers placed in 69. Were they on the roll bar main hoop?

Trans-Am Camaros / Floor heat blanket material.
« on: December 10, 2018, 04:48:53 AM »
What is everyone using for material to cover the front floor area to block the heat? The original cars had some kind of asbestos material. I have some of it but not really keen on using it.

What were most of the T/A cars using for fuel tanks as far as materials? Aluminum, stainless or stock steel?

Trans-Am Camaros / Street T/A
« on: November 20, 2012, 01:04:30 AM »
Anyone out there building a streetable T/A clone?  I see alot of Mustangs being built but no Camaros. Everyone in my area is into drag cars. I seem to be the only T/A nut.  If you are working on one post some pictures, I would love to see them. I am a Mustang guy but I like anything Trans Am related.
