My best choice is Ebay and going to car shows where they have swap meet. Also call some of they vendor to see if they have any nos parts. Not a big fan of repro part's. Have bought many used part's cleaned them up and reused them in the past. Have seen were the parts are harder to find lately. Hope this helps!

Just  checked 2 68 timing cover's has hole in center but no nut in cover. Checked my 68 oil pan had no hole. The hole is for front timing seal which has little tits on the seal. Check out seal gm #3909800 and you will see a tit right in the center where you are talking about! Hope this helps you.

I was not thinking of resale value.  Just would be nice to have original drive train that came with car.

I would check with the person who had the drivetrain to see if the block or 4speed might have have the partial vin that matches your car! Also get the code off the right rear axle tube. Your car would be worth with the original drivetrain.

Early 68 EE code is fathom blue. Also check to see it has tire pressure decal on inside of glove box door. If has white under cowl panel only car that had stripes there would be 68z28. Get more pictures of the car. Also does it have 12 bolt and how many leaf springs.

The replacement gm fuzzie's are just like the original. Compared a used set off my car to a gm set replacement dead on. That is what I will be using on my car. Repos not even close  from what I have seen. Also the part # is 9715110. Hope this helps.

Restoration / Re: Window felts - '68 w/ deluxe interior + reveal moldings
« on: October 01, 2018, 04:19:45 AM »
As far the exterior have not seen anybody that comes close to the original's. The back side has tabs that clamp on to the molding. The interior's on mine were fine so reused them.
