Car build date 3rd week of Feb, tranny stamped January 4 & engine assembled October?!?No argument there is a lot to question here, but on the transmission date, early January Muncie assembly dates have been observed in several LOS-built cars up to late March timeframe. I have a Muncie with a March '69 partial VIN, assembled January 4th.
Was there only one used on each cable, or was there one used on each end of the cable (adjacent to the upholstery, under the cable/nut?? I suppose) to prevent chaffing on the upholstery??That's right Gary, one cable per car (passenger side only) and one washer as pictured used, located on the seat base to protect the upholstery. Steve? What are the specs/dimensions of the washers?? (OD, ID, Thickness, material/finish?)...Gary here's a picture of my seat stop cable washer with measurements added. I posted this a while back but can't find the thread right now, not sure if it was here or at TC. The max thickness was from a flat horizontal surface, so picked up the overall as-stamped dimension, but don't think I measured the thickness of the flat plate from which it was stamped.....
12E Ran through Jan 3/4th, did you ever send away to Chevy Muscle Docs to obtain the exact build date?I didn't seek the NCRS shipper report; don't own the car, just checked it out on behalf of a potential buyer.
