Restoration / 1100750 alternator build date
« on: August 08, 2022, 05:56:15 AM »
I am looking for a 61 amp alternator for a 1966 first week of November built Camaro with AC. I see a fair amount of rebuildable cores dated 6 (1966) from January to June then none until end of November. I was thinking 2-3 month build date prior to November 1966 is what I need.
Any idea if these alternators were only built  certain months of 1966?

Hello, I'm restoring a 67 convertible, doing the wiring with new harnesses from American Autowire. I have the power top working correctly and the 30 amp breaker on the firewall. All factory parts.
I have the power windows set up as in all wired at switches, motors, circuit breaker under dash driver's side. There is a 3 prong harness connector that plugs into the breaker.
This leaves empty 2 spades from the breaker unaccounted for wiring.
I'm guessing the under dash breaker needs to get power  (?) from somewhere and I need an accessory harness.
I have looked everywhere for information without success.
Any help would be appreciated

Restoration / 1967 Camaro RS headlight motors
« on: November 02, 2019, 03:33:08 AM »
I'm thinking of starting to rebuild original RS headlight motors for 1967. The electric ones. I have some spare parts and my thought was if people sent me their original motors I could let them know a cost to rebuild their own motors. Without the influx of used factory parts, my stock will die out pretty quickly. Or, if people do not want their motor rebuilt but have changed to the aftermarket style of motor, but still have original motors or parts, I'm interested in them. This would be perfect for someone wanting original look and sounding motors. Please contact for more information. Thanks

Maintenance / 1967 Camaro RS turn signal/ 4 way flashers/brake lights
« on: October 27, 2019, 04:20:27 AM »
Hello, having an issue with my turn signals, four way flashers and brake lights. They did work a few months ago. The running lights function properly. I've checked all bulbs individually with a power source and they are good, not surprising, as running lights work.
At the harness under the steering column I have power at the grey wire (column shift indicator light) when lights are on. CORRECT. I have power at the black wire (horn), when grounded horn works. CORRECT. I have power at the purple wire (with ignition on) power from hazard signal flasher. I have power at the brown wire (with ignition on) power from turn signal flasher. I have no power at dark green (rr turn signal) or yellow (lr turn signal) dark blue (rf turn signal) or light blue (lf turn signal). I do have power at the white wire when I press the brake pedal (power from brake light switch). CORRECT.
Any ideas on where to go next?

I'm wondering if this is common or why a car built would have a POP date 17 months later. Could the car have been used at a dealership and then sold later? Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks
