I attached a few pics of the rear carpet factory cut, which may help. Note the two additional holes cut in the padding on hump(closest to my feet). If you guess what they are Santa will put an extra present under the tree for you. John Z. & Mark C. can't help.

Hope everyone has a great holiday and happy new year.   :-X

Well the car has a console, but only about 6000 were used.

Steve, have you measured the distance across of the flaps?  Or can you give dimensions across the whole carpet?  Who makes the most accurate carpet that duplicates the padding like the original?

Coal in your stockings. if you open your console door, there are two small indents which are locators for two additional screws that secured the console to the floor.. The screws were only used when an 8 track was ordered. This provided addition al support and stability to the console due to the added mass of the 8 track.  The additional operation is noted in the assembly manual under RPO57

What was under the drivers side rear that made the rectangular impression?  A piece of underlayment?

Yes and I placed it in the same position it was in when it left the factory.

I know you did Steve...
I found a handful of interior trim screws impressed in the underlayment in the Judge Conv I painted 10 years ago... I couldn't leave them.

How about a pic of the floor of the car before the carpet is put in but after the underlayment is out.
My car was "lightened" for racing sometime before 1975 and it had no underlayment at all in it when I got it.

Trying to put some in, but can't figure out two of the pieces.

Thanks in advance.
