How to reach sail panel light connections?

[1967RS/SS]

67 with deluxe interior. 

I  want to replace my sail panel courtesy light wiring harness.  How do you get to the connections?  I was lying in my trunk but my arms were still to short to reach them from the back side.  Any one have any suggestions?

Thanks.  Looks like I am going to have to d/c the housing and connect them that way...
