Beautiful restored car on eBay. But the cowl tag looks incorrect to me. As always, no need to tell me the details. Just real or fake will do.... Danny

Seems like a lot of work went into this restoration. I like the attention to paint marks and other finer details.
But I'm curious why the oil pan bolts aren't painted if they went that far in details and why the grade 8 rear differential cover are needed.
For a Jan 69 born date, the bell housing looks to have a casting date the 4th week of April. Likely 1968? Seems way too soon for a Jan 69.
I'm just nit picking. Anyhow it looks like this was shredded in previous posts here a while back.
Pretty car though.

I think that style bell housing stamping goes back farther than 1968.  Not sure but could be around earlier 60's.  I have an April 1968 housing and it doesn't have the "GM" stamped on the side...it has the casting number and a large "7" along with the small circles.

After the spoilers were part of the z, did all tags say x33d80? Could you delete spoilers?

From all the 'wrong' items on that car, restampings, etc... I agree with the poster from the earlier thread, wihch basically questioned *everything* on the car..  in fact, that car, although Yes, it's very *pretty*, could even be a complete *klone* built from 'new' parts and restampings...??
Has anyone ever tallied up a complete camaro built from the repro panels and parts?   Can someone do that, and throw in a few 'restamped' mechanical parts, a 'repro' cowl tag, and then try to make $$ on the deal by passing it off as a restpred 'real car' ??

I don't get it! During the last thread someone was going to get in touch with Hendrix Motorsports to find out why they are trying to pass this crap off as a; "Documented numbers matching DZ 302 and M22 transmission with protect-o-plate!". And when I questioned it last time people got a little hot under the collar...well here it is again guys what gives??? >:(

I for one do not think someone of Mr. Hendrix stature & pocket book would risk his integrity over something as petty as this.  But enough is enough...if anyone out there has an in with this company give them a holler! Their brass needs to know how their company is being represented. It needs to end!!!
