looking for reasonably-priced 837 alternator

Is there such a thing as a reasonably-priced 837 alternator out there?  My 69 camaro is a 5E build and I'd like to find one that is date correct. The only one out there I can find is $1150!!!.  I'm thinking half this price. Am I dreaming or are there other ones out there?

Keep lookin' there's more out there without having to pay that kind of money.  It took me a couple months to find mine but I didn't have to pay thru the nose.
