???? Transmission ???

  How do I find out what transmission came from the factory on my 69?  thru the vin I know it was a v8  (  Not sure what v8  )

You are in luck!  

If a manual, you can find out if it had a Muncie or a Saginaw by where the hole in the firewall was cut to feed the speedo cable to your dash.  If it was an auto, you can find out by looking at the tunnel area.
