I've wanted a 69 since I was about 12... After quite a while of searching, I found the one I wanted. It's complete frame off restoration and very well done. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have. I obviously have the vin#, but the cowl tag is kinda hard to read. I think I'm gonna have to break out the dremmel to get factual numbers because some of what I have doesn't make sense. Any suggestions as to how to do this right? I paid a good chunk and have since been offered double and don't want to f@ck this up. Everybody tells me what I have, but they all say something different. Any help would be appreciated!!!

1.  PUT DOWN THE DREMMEL TOOL!
2.  Post everything you can from the cowl tag, or post a good pic of it.
3.  That's a nice looking Camaro, welcome to CRG.

1. Ok, I'll put the dremmel away!
2. Here is the best I can do on the cowl tag. I'm in Florida but the cars in another state right now. ST 69...12437....LOS131672...BDY...TR...727...71....71...PNT...1239???
3. Thanks, looked long & hard for this one! Have done some reading here, some guys on here that know there sh!t... Appreciate the help!!!
I can barely read the cowl tag so I don't think a pic would help.
Where is Schodack? I grew up in up state
appreciate your help

Thanks and happy t-day!!! I was just south of Syracuse

It's a very nice looking hot rod. :)

Tag seems to indicate Lemans Blue car with white standard interior. We would need to see the tag to say any more about it.

Are those decorative plates behind the front wheels with drum brakes that look like brake discs? I don't see any calipers.

Thanks Mark... I believe it's the one I was looking for!!!

The wheels have a cosmetic disc that resembles a rotor... however it does have front disc and rear drums with a 12 bolt.

Actually the car is in the shop right now replacing the TH350 with a 700R4 so I can go over 65mph... Plus 4wheel wildwood disc's. You have to be able to stop it right?

It appears you have a nice 69 Camaro that someone stuck Yenko emblems and stickers on. It is not a Yenko though...

I'm not sure but i don't think so... More of a tribute if I had to guess. It has a 427 with a 12 bolt rear and I think 3.73 or 4.10 gears. That's what I'm trying to establish now. I know it's NOT numbers matching though. The block is a 69 that had the original TH350 until this week. The seats are original (I think) but the dash has been modded. At this point it's not all original so I think I'm gonna play with it and make it what I want. New high back bucket seats, custom interier, maybe a four link and whatever else... Who knows?????

Hi,

Where did you get those disc brake looking shields ? A set of those would look GREAT on my '67 Camaro.

CMCCALL2008

They are actually part of the wheels
