repop spiral shocks same as original GM

does anyone know if the repop spiral shocks are identical to theoriginal GM spirals?
when I bought my car, it had leaking original shocks on the car.. the previous owner bought NOS shocks that apparantly were junk..

i wound up selling them for peanuts and bought a set of the repops which i have yet to install... just in moving them with my hands... they vitually have no dampening.

i don't know how a shock really works.. but the KYBs i currently have on the car were very tough to compress, whereas these new spirals feel like mush.


i know that they stated that these were "show only" but jeeze... might as well not run shocks at all.

Anyone have good luck with these things?

i have them on 2 of my cars and fine to to be fine.  i am not drag racing or anything like that just some cruises and local shows.  so far so good
