68 Controlled Combustion System with Headers

I have headers on my 68 SB with a 180 thermostat, it runs 190 to 195 measured at the head.
I have a different cam and changed my distributor curve and carb tuning for the modified setup.
It has a stock look and utilizes original components on most of the engine bay with the exception of the air cleaner assembly.

I would like to re-install the original air cleaner assembly that used the Controlled Conbustion System (Auto trans).
The original setup was designed for use with a 195 degree thermostat.

Does any one have any recommendations on what thermostat should be used?

If I switch back to the original cleaner assembly, I can not run the pipe to the manifold heatstove because I have headers.
I want to keep the headers and am not interested in swicthing it back at this time, but don't like the look without the OE cleaner assembly.

I assume that if i don't use the heatstove it will not effect anything once the motor is at running temp and I alsways let it warm up before driving.

What should I do about the Port for the thermostatically controlled air cleaner snorkel?

Any recommendations?

John, you can fabricate a connector to go on the headers to run the pipe up to the snorkle. Done this on a few cars in the past. Give me a little bit and will provide you with a drawing........RatPack..............
