Fresh 396 MQ short block - 8L314958 T1109MQ

    I have a short block out of a '68 Los Angeles built Camaro. If someone has the car it came out of I would consider selling it. The serial # is 8L3149xx and is stamped T1109MQ. The casting date looks like K  7  7 and is a 323 block. I have a '68 Camaro coupe that it will work in, but thought I would try to get it back to it's original body before I use it. I have the heads that are 840s and are dated J-24-7 & K-2-7. The motor was fresh when I got it with a '68 RS SS convertible but it was too early for that car and I have since purchased a correct 4 bolt main block for it. If your serial # matches this motor we will see if we can work out a deal. Thanks Clint

Clint, we only have three cars in the database with this VIN, and one of those is a 327 with the POP. The other is a 396/325 with the original engine and the last is a body only, but I don't have any pictures of the firewall to tell if it's a big block or small block car.
