inside rear view mirror

is there any thing that can be done to keep the inside rear veiw mirror in one place. i tried tighting the screw but it drops down again. has anyone else had this problem

If the little 4-sided stamped bushing is missing from the screw hole in the mirror neck, it'll do exactly as you describe; see if your bushing is still there (photo below).

its missing and i have never seen anyone make one either
