1969 Monthly Production Totals

Does anyone know why fewer cars were produced in the July/August 1969 time frame?  My 08C car has many parts that are dated in June and some even earlier than that.  Just curious.

Because production was supposed to end around the end of July and the dealers weren't taking as many orders.
