I just rebuilt an engine out of a 68 z28 and it had bronze bushings in the small end for floating pins.is this correct for a 68 engine.

No it's not.  There are rumors that late 68s got the floating pins.  Have not seen any yet.

The 67 Z28 got 11/32 rods also referred to as the "green rods."  I am working on another article (Z28) for CRG that will go into this in great detail.

The Corvette LT1 350's used the pink rods too as well as the 70 & up Special High Performance 350's. No Babbit dipped small ends though. magazines of the day used to say these rods were made with "fresh" forging dies & tooling plus shot peening. I have a couple of sets, & they have more than a small dab of paint on them.

Z/28's up to 74 had Pink rods. The pink will look orange upon disassembly after years of oil staining.
