68 power steering box replacement with headers

can the box be removed and then reinstalled on a 68 z without removing or loosening Larry Christianson replicated headers. Some say it can be accomplished by loosening the steering column and pulling it back a few inches.

well, I did it! Left the header tight.
pulled the column back after disconnecting the rag joint on the box.
a little upward clockwise roll and moved it back towards the firewall and it dropped right out.
easy process, Whew
