Searching for my Dad’s 1969 L78 RS/SS Camaro VIN 124379N574971

My father bought this Camaro new in the Atlanta, Georgia area in 1969, and I'm trying to locate the car today.

VIN: 124379N574971

It was originally a Fathom Green / black interior 1969 RS/SS, equipped with the L78 396/375, M22 4-speed and 4.10 Positraction. My father later installed a 427 and raced the car around the Atlanta area.

I still have the original window sticker, title and old photographs of the car. I'm hoping someone here may recognize it, have it in an old database, remember seeing it for sale, or have any information connected to the VIN.

I'm not looking for anyone's private information — I'd just love to establish what happened to the car and, if possible, eventually get in contact with its current owner.

Window sticker has all go fast goodies. Cool Camaro. He sourced a hood tach too. Yea.. purpose built car there.

He sure did, and obviously he built it for drag racing. His last big engine build went in that car. He previously had a yellow 67 Camaro and he worked at Chevrolet too so he ordered a 427 and paid the difference (his 396 allegedly had a knock...). That car went 10.7 in the quarter mile with a trap speed of 145mph in 1969/70.  Talking to him last night I got the story straightened out a little more. When he decided to sell the car to fund his motorcycle shop he was opening in Athens, Ga. He pulled the 427 that ran that time. Sold it for $5000 and the car received a stock or mild built 427. Maybes it's still out there.
