RS Vacuum Lines under dash and firewall pad

Does the firewall pad get cut for routing of the two RS headlight vacuum switch hoses as they pass through the grommetin the firewall to the under dash area?

Any pics of this area would be greatly appreciated.

Mine (LOS 1968 RSSS) look like the Factory pad is just cut for the Brake pedal assy and it then also is therefore clearanced for the RS grommet & Hoses (Repop) installed in 80's

Thanks for your response and pic, my firewall pad (Heartbeat's best quality) covers that area, so looks like I definitely need to cut out for the grommet/hoses.  My car has AC too, not sure if that would be the difference, but the pad does go up fairly high on the firewall which is good, I guess.
