Going Vintage Racing with an original Z/28

Going this route for now with this one. All bolt on parts, including the cage I built. No extra holes, no welding.
Original drive train, real DZ 302 not original to the car. Corvette 8 inch rally's that I changed the backspace 3/4 inch inboard so no tire rubbing.

Yesterday at open test session. 2.5 mile course, 125 mph on the straights. Car is fun!

Looks like you were running the Z28 at Buttonwillow.  Haven't been to that track, but have visited Willow Springs.  Great fun!

Racing with the DZ? There aren't that many left! If you have the partial VIN, surely you could sell the motor and have a healthy budget to fund the racing, even after building a DZ-style 302 to replace it...

Badshifter - If you want to make your 1969 Z28 Camaro a street car again, at least you won't have to pull the engine and put in a DZ motor!
